ALPINE // Program Requirements & Information

  • A USSS competitor's license and VARA membership are required only if you plan to compete in USSS or VARA races.

  • All programs must be paid in full by the first day of the program. No exceptions will be made without prior arrangements with the development program director.

  • Helmets are required for both slalom and GS and must meet appropriate USSS criteria. For GS training and racing, a hard shell over the ears is mandatory (helmets must cover the "head and ears" with a hard shell).

  • Recommended: 1 pair of GS skis, 1 pair of SL skis.

  • KMS and the Killington Ski Club (KSC) are separate entities that work closely together to offer Development Programs for our young athletes. KMS manages and coaches the Devo programs and competitive events. KSC provides Ski Club building access, guidance and social opportunities.

    • Enrolled athletes in the Devo Programs must be KSC members:  As the Ski Club has a 2 year waitlist, KSC offers a Junior Single Membership to athletes whose parents are on our waitlist for Family membership.

    • For returning Junior Singles from last season: KSC already has your athlete’s profile. No need to re-submit a Junior Single membership application.

    • For new athletes to the Devo program: KSC must receive two separate applications from each family - one for Junior Single Membership and one for Family Membership:

    • Annual Junior Single dues invoices ($110) will be emailed once your athlete is registered for the 2023/24 Devo season.

  • Participation in the KSC/KMS Work Obligation Program is required for all families in the competition programs. This allows us to adequately staff competition events at Killington and provide a quality experience for our athletes in their home events.

  • Each athlete must have a Killington Unlimited Season Pass.

  • The coaching staff will send weekly emails with logistical details for the upcoming weekend.
